Para Athlete, Sports - Shotput & Disc throw

Muthuraja is a 33-year-old Para Athlete hailing from Melachorikulam Village in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu. He lost the functionality of his complete lower body (paraplegic)due to an accident happened on 2015. With all his efforts he overcome this loss by focusing his goals towards the Sports. After winning many medals in all levels such as District, State and National that includes securing Gold in Indian Open Para Athletics and National level meet, he raised his bar and determined to win a Gold medal in Olympics. He holds a record for Shotput at a distance of 10.39m which is Asian level Second best. He also won a Bronze medal in Men’s Disc throw (F54/55/56) & Men’s Shot put (F55) in 2022 Asian Para Games at Hangzhou.
